First off, Terry Richardson is a one trick pony. That being said, it can be a great fucking trick.

The only excitement I get from work on a daily basis comes from whether or not I am successful at avoiding work. Lately I've been either getting lucky or good at going by my day unnoticed. I know it's not a wise career move, but fuck making this a career anyway. A humor memo did get passed my way today and as far as I can recall, this is the first joke memo I've ever received. It was titled an "Interesting History Lesson" and talked about the U.S. Railroads, and the Roman Empire, and the Space Shuttles all to tie back to how "everything is run by asses". Whatever whatever.

I don't usually wear these types of flashy graphic T shirts these days but how ill is this one?!

Before the days of 1118, the three of us worked together at Teavana in Aventura. And yeah, it was a pretty shitty place to work, but at the same time we kinda ran that joint. We closed every night blaring 90's NY hip Hop, we hooted at the ladies walking by, and created custom frozen drinks. One time, Gabe who was part of management, had the great idea of writing me up. Here's the final product of that idea:

So after being at work for a few hours, I hear my supervisor in her office next door, crying into her cell phone in broken weeping Indian. Not really one to put my nose in other's people's business, I just kept doing what I was supposed to do. Close to an hour passes and she calls me and the other assistant into her office.

"I made a new voice mail message, I want to know what you guys think about it." she said.

"...oh"

She calls her cell phone from the ground line and puts it on speaker:

"Sorry I'm not available at the moment, and thank you for caring enough to call. Please leave a message after the beep. I am making some changes in my life, and if I don't return your call, you are one of those changes... beep."

And in complete silence, there's the most awkward moment in my professional life. Trying to think of how to respond to this, while going through all the sensible possibilities in my head as to why in the world did this woman want her two assistants to hear this, I blurt out "It's kind of mean, no?" More awkward silence followed by a nod on my part and an exit.

Veggie Burrito Soup

Ingredients:

One Campbell Select Gold Label Southwest Corn
Half a can of Organic Black Beans
Two Cups of Boca Ground Beef (fake beef)
Half a lime
Crystal Hot Sauce
Salt
Paprika
Garlic Powder
Ground Black Pepper
Cilantro
Some shredded white cheese

Pan fry Boca ground beef, adding salt and garlic powder to taste.
Heat Campbell's Soup and a half can of black beans in a medium heat setting. Add some Crystal Hot Sauce, salt, a dash of paprika, black pepper, and cilantro. Let cook for about 15 minutes stirring occasionally. Add ground beef and lime juice. Stir for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Serve in bowl and a toss some shredded cheese on top.
